Fish Finder

We are PortFish, Ltd, a non-profit 501-c3 that supports local food. We rely on a 3,500-gallon aquaponics system in a 4,500 square foot facility for growing lettuce and other greens with our primary product being a salad blend using what we grow: lettuce, kale, Swiss chard, arugula, watercress and two microgreens: sunflower and radish. The majority of our sales are retail; we do very little wholesale. In terms of revenue generation, we rely on a CSA model for our salad blend, but we also sell to non-CSA customers. However, our primary source of revenue generation is comes from our relationships with several other local food producers. Burkel Family Farm provides eggs and grass-feed animal products as well as honey and maple syrup. We sell cheese from Gibbsville Cheese and kombucha from Soul Brew Kombucha. We also have a partnership with Velvet Underground who grows mushrooms: lions mane, blue oyster and chestnut.
